NJERI WONDERS
Today is Njeri’s turn to cook and her family swears she is the best cook of all of them. The mother said and I quote “Njeri does wonders in the kitchen”, and wonders did she do.
Let’s start with the soup that was as clear as the waters of Diani beach, the meat was as white as the linens on those vacation beds and don’t get me started on the lack of salt in the soup. Yes this time round I had no escape plan, it would have been rude to do it again so I stayed and let me tell you, what my mouth tasted, my stomach confessed.
I left that dinner table asking myself very tough questions; was that meat stew or water and white meat?
