NDENGU RECIPE KENYA: HOW TO MAKE SIMPLE AND DELICIOUS NDENGU STEW

SUSANA AND THE ART OF SOUP

Mama Njeri and her family shouldn't be left near any food that requires soup. At 16 Susana the second born has already learnt THE ART OF SOUP

1. Thou shall have a yellow jerrican full of water

2. Thou shall not spare any water in the yellow jerrican

3. Thou shall repeat the same in every food that requires soup

My prayer now is that the soup gods will let them be, because this is becoming a problem. I didn’t mean to spy on them but curiosity wouldn't let me rest. I mean they were cooking the ndengu right opposite my window. No sooner had I opened my window curtains than I saw Susana come out with a 10 liter jerrican full of water.

I saw her pour the water little by little as she stirred the ndengu, for a minute there I was impressed that Susana wasn’t a soup fanatic like the rest of her family members until I saw the jerrican become lighter and lighter. I never expected it fellow Kenyans, an entire jerrican! Okay I'm exaggerating it was just a 5 liter jerrican of water but still.......

Anyway to avoid the art of soup, here is a recipe for you:
