KARIS DID MAMA NJERI DIRTY LITERALLY
Mama Njeri likes her 4 o’clock tea with samosas which she buys everyday without fail from Karis.
Karis has made samosas for as long as I can remember, but today mama Njeri wasn’t having it. She claims, she saw Karis scratch his butt and poke his nose then without washing his hands went ahead to cook the samosas as if nothing had happened.
Mama Njeri couldn’t believe what she saw! I mean, she has been eating these samosas for the past 3 years. Did Karis do any of the things mama Njeri is accusing him of? Yes, I believe he did one of the two but not both. Knowing mama Njeri she had to add spice to the story to make it sound even more disgusting and further affirm why we should no longer eat anything made by the roadside.
That was not all, on the same day before going to buy samosas from Karis, Mama Njeri claims her friend Wa Kamau had told her of another story where she saw a roasted maize seller pee and go back to selling maize without washing his hands! Disgusting right? The way Mama Njeri told those stories, if you were us, you would have never eaten any street food.
I can only imagine what was going through Mama Njeri’s head when she saw what Karis did. The solo conversations she had with herself and the swear words aimed at Karis that she secretly whispered to herself. I mean with all the wash your hands campaigns going on and that loud radio Karis normally has at his work place, you would think he would know better, Mmmh.
PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS THE PANDEMIC IS REAL. I digress…..
It was because of these incidents that mama Njeri’s decided she wanted to learn how to make samosas at home. As the good neighbor and family friend that I am, I stepped in and showed her how to do it.
