Ugali is one of the staple meals in Kenya. It is mostly made from white maize meal and South Africans call it Pap.
The South African pap is also made from maize meal but it is made a bit runny while the Kenyan ugali is more solid.
How is ugali eaten?
Ugali is mostly accompanied by a vegetable or protein dish e.g beef stew, spinach, cabbage, fish stew or fried fish, tripe, nyama choma and kachumbari etc.
